Margaret Stevens

One of my biggest goals since I got married was to become a better housewife.  It was kind of an insane goal with no clear guidelines or helps. Trust Me, I read everything I could get my hands on, and it still didnt help. But one thing I never would have considered is that I needed to focus on building a more playful environment for my husband. We needed to have more fun in our life! One of the things I have learned is that making sure my husband has a satisfying hobby is one of the keys to having a healthy marriage. I know I have spoken in the past about us having a healthy hobby as a wife. But what most wife don’t remember is that your husband needs one too. His hobby should be more then just doing chores or fixing things around the house. You fell in love with him because of the things he did and why they made him the way he is. He should not loose that side of him. Wither its painting, music, exercise, tinkering with cars or even just playing video games. LET HIM PLAY!!! I try and make sure that Ben has at least one night a week were he is doing something playful.  Our husbands need hobbies just like we do. It’s one of the things that helps keep them balanced so that they can  be happy and healthy as well.
